A large number of Israel’s military has been deployed and sieges over 1000 mainly Eritrean and Sudanese refugees who broke out of the open detention centre, HOLOT camp, and Israeli Police roundup Holot campheaded towards the border of Egypt. The refugees had stayed close to the border area for three days, amidst of very hot weather condition. The military involved today, according to the refugees' account, has used gas-sprays and injections before they start putting the refugees on the military vehicles. A large screaming crowd was heard during the phone interview carried out by Radio Erena, with the victim refugees.

The refugees did this to protest the recent Israel's policy against refugees and to call attention of the international community. According to the refugees, interviewed by Radio Erena, they compare the camp as a camp of death and nothing different is to the situation that caused them to flee from their country. It is to be recalled the U.N. higher Human Rights body, has this Friday, adopted a resolution to initiate a special Inquiry Commission to investigate the human-rights abuses in Eritrea, that is reported to be the main cause of Eritrean refugees.
