ኣቶ ወልደየሱስ ዓማር ኣብ ኣሸራ ጥቓ ሓጋዝ (ኣውራጃ _ ሰንሒት) ኣብ ኣጋ ምውዳእ 2ይ ወግእ _ ዓለም ተወሊዱን ዓብዩን፡ ሓደ ዓመት ድሕሪ ምጅማር ፈደረሽን ኤርትራን ኢትዮጵያን ከኣ ኣብታ ማእከል ፖለቲካ ኤርትራ ዝነበረት ከረን ትምህርቲ ጀሚሩ። ዳርጋ ንምሉእ ጒዕዞ ናይታ ድሕሪ መግዛእቲ ኢጣልያ ዝቐጸለት ኤርትራ ብኣካል_ነይሩዎ ብምዃኑ፡ ነቲ ካብ መፋርቕ 50ታት ክሳብ መፋርቕ 70ታት እተኻየድ ቀሊል ዘይነበረ ጐስጓስ ንኤርትራዊ ሃገራውነት ብምልኣት ካብ ዝተኻፈሉ እዩ። ብፍላይ ካብ 1961-1965 ኣብ ኣስመራ፣ ክሳብ መወዳእታ 60ታት ከኣ ኣብ ኣዲስ ኣበባ ንሱን መማህርቱን ዕቱብ ምልዕዓላት ንሃገራዊ ቓልሲ ኣካይዶም። ሚካኤል ጋብር፣ ስዩም ዑቚባሚካኤል፣ ወልደዳዊት ተመስገን ሙሴ ተስፋሚካኤል፣ ዶ/ር ብእምነት ኣሕመድ፣ ሎሚ ሃለዋቱ ዘይተፈልጠ ሃይለ ድሩዕ፣ ከምኡ'ውን ኢሳያስ ኣፈወርቂን ሰዓብቱን (እኒ ኣረፋይነ በርሀ/ወዲ-ዓሸራ፣ ዮሴፍ ገብረስላሴ እንጦጦ ተስፋይ ገብረስላሴ/ቻይና) መማህርቱን መቓልስቱን ካብ ዝነበሩ ምንባሮም ምስትብሃል፡ ነቲ ኣብ ጽቡቕን ሕማቕን ኤርትራ ዝተኻፈለ ወለዶ የዘኻኽር።

ብዘይካ ዲፕሎማ ኣብ ሞያ ጋዜጠኛነት፡ ብስነ-ፖለቲካን ኣህጉራዊ ዝምድናን ክሳብ 2ይ ዲግሪ ዝውንን ገዲም ተጋዳላይ ወልደየሱስ ዓማር፡ ኣብ ኢትዮጵያ ከም ጋዜጠኛ ኣብ ከባቢ በዓል በዓሉ ግርማ (ደራሲ ኦሮማይ) ድሕሪ ምስራሕ፡ ብ1975 ንሜዳ ብምኻድ፡ ኣብ ቤት/ጽ ዜና ተ.ሓ.ኤ. (በይሩት) ክሳብ 1982 ኣገልጊሉ። ቀጻሊ ኣበርክቶኡ ብጽሑፋት ከይተረፈ ክንጸባረቕ ዝጸንሐ ኰይኑ ንተሳትፎን ሓላፍነታትን ቃልሲ ከየዋደቐ ካብ 90ታት ጀሚሩ ም ውድብ ሕ.ሃUN ሰሪሑ። ካብቲ 2005 ዘጓነፈ ኣሰንባዲ መስዋእቲ መማህርቱን መቓልስቱን ስዩም ሓረስታይ ንደሓር፡ ላዕለዋ ሓላፍነታት እናተሰከመ፡ ነቲ ጌና ዘይተዛዘመ ጉዳይ ህዝቢ ከዐውት ምስ ዝቐደመን ዝደሓረን ወለዶታት ዝቃለስ ዘሎ ሃገራዊ እዩ።

Thank you for giving us your book "ተመሃሮ ኣብ ቃልሲ 1955-75". I do not have enough words to fully describe how revealing and seminal it is.

It is by far, the best interpretation of the evolvement of Eritrean political history I have read so far. Recounted in simple words, it reveals the origin of the dynamics of Eritrean politics as we see it today. Your book distinguishes itself, not ONLY by what it says, but by what it does not.

By recounting events as they were, you proved that the biggest absentee in the making of contemporary Eritrean politics was, Isaias Afewerki. He had little or no role to play as a leader, be it as an opinion leader or as an organizational. You and your circle of dedicated students were in the midst of it all, whereas the young Isaias was not. His présence was comparatively, petty and irrelevant. His instinct to always complain & whine unless he has his way is revealed in your narration; his narcist nature. In EPLF and to this day, he would keep breaking established rules and norms to have his way.

It is amazing how you were always in the right place at the right time, always at the center of the leading core.

Secondly, your way of making sense of the events that surrounded you, is what impressed me the most. Others, who have experienced same events, would have told them as isolated events, without meaningful link to one another. You built, out of the details we thought we knew, a whole picture we did not know.

I have gone through your book, two times so far. It is priceless.
