Eritrean Transnational Repression Summit, London, UK – 07 May 2025.

The Eritrean Transnational Repression Summit, held in London on May 7, 2025, was organized by Brigade Nhamedu (Blue-Revolution) UK. This significant event brought together prominent researchers and experts who presented their papers and shared in-depth analyses. In addition, powerful testimonies were offered by individuals directly impacted by the issues discussed.

The summit focused on exposing the transnational repression carried out by the Eritrean Government through its diaspora offices, targeting Eritrean refugees who have sought safety in host countries. This repression manifests in various covert forms, threatening the safety and well-being of Eritrean refugees abroad while also endangering their relatives back in Eritrea. Insights shared at the summit also highlighted parallels between the experiences of Eritrean refugees and those of Rwandan refugees, who face similar challenges.
